Vape Shop Employee Busted With 4 Pounds Of Pot, Norwalk Police Say

A vape shop employee was charged with alleged possession of more than one kilo of pot during a warrant search in Fairfield County.

The search occurred in Norwalk on Wednesday, March 13 at the Smoke House 1 Vape Shop on Connecticut Avenue.

According to Lt. Tomasz Podgorski of the Norwalk Police, the search was part of an ongoing investigation into non-licensed shops selling marijuana within the city limits.

During the search with the state Consumer Protection Drug Control Division, investigators seized:

  • Over four pounds of marijuana
  • Several hundred products containing greater levels than the legal limit of THC
  • Approximately $1500 in cash

As a result of the investigation and seizures of illegal items, Naud Brandon Rodriguez, age 26, of Norwalk, was arrested, Podgorski said.  Rodriguez is currently out on bond from a 2023 firearm arrest in New York City.

He was charged with:

  • Possession with intent to sell an amount greater than 1 kilogram of cannabis
  • Possession of an amount greater than 1 kilogram of cannabis
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Rodriguez was held on a $75,000 bond.
